In this collection of essays, Sedaris tells stories from his life with wit and dry humor. His life is nothing too abnormal. He is gay and his family seems a bit loony, but nothing too far from common life. I didn't laugh that often, though his writing style usually kept me interested in the story telling even when the actual story seemed trivial. This is a popular type of book, and overall I didn't enjoy reading it as much as the type of books that I usually read, but I could see that if I was in the right mood it could have been more entertaining.
