This book had a large emphasis on the politics of food. It didn't go very deep into the science and seemed to avoid taking a strong stance on almost everything. It was good for getting an impression of what is well accepted in the field of nutrition because if this author accepts it, then there must be a lot of good evidence. There were a good overviews of fish contaminants, organic certification, and the effects of processing foods, among other things. Also, it was enlightening to read about the extent of politics that comes with the food industry, even though this wasn't my primary interest.
