The Virtue of Selfishness contains a collection of essays about Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism by Rand herself and some of her colleagues. Those readers who really appreciated Atlas Shrugged may find this book to be a nice first step into Rand's non-fiction writing. Her non-fiction works suffer from gross distortions of logic, unlike the fiction works which don't rely on logic. Although this is a severe problem, the book is still very thought-provoking and it contains some good ideas. One notable example is her idea of financing the courts by an optional fee on contracts that makes them government enforced. If you can filter out the absurd parts, it is a good read.
